About Pam

Inspired by the ever changing sky, the power of the ocean, and beautiful landscapes, Pam captures the essence of the moment in oil paintings completed en plein air and in her studio. For as long as she can remember, she wanted to draw and paint. Offered a scholarship to Indiana University to study art and design, she turned it down believing a healthcare profession offered more opportunities. It wasn't until her husband gave her a plein air easel plus lessons from artist Andrea Gaye aboard their ocean troller in San Diego Bay that Pam's painting really began. She credits the late E. John Robinson, Mendocino, for sharing the techniques he used for capturing and painting waves and seascapes. While water, mountains, iris and landscapes are Pam's major focus, she also paints children's murals and birthday boxes for her grandchildren. Her work is displayed in France and across the USA. She is a member of the Corvallis Art Guild, Vistas and Vineyards plein air group, Yaquina Art Association, Oil Painters of America and American Society of Marine Artists.
